ABTA, in its recently released Travel Trends Report 2012, has predicted a boom in specialist holidays. The report adjudged Egypt to be one of the hot favourite mid-haul destinations to look out for in 2012.

It appears that Egypt tourism will face severe hindrances in the coming months. Any sort of ban on tourist centric activities will certainly result in a huge drop in the number of travellers planning air travel to Egypt and landing at the country’s major airports.

Parents 'prepared to take kids out of school to get cheap flights'

With the summer holidays approaching, a new poll has found that 44 per cent of travellers believe that it is unfair that prices increase dramatically during the school holidays.

These respondents also stated that they "would not hesitate" to book a trip during the school year, potentially allowing them to take advantage of the cheap flights to Egypt and other foreign destinations.

Researchers for HolidayExtras.com noted that just 28 per cent of parents said that they would never take their children out of school during term time.
