Philippine Airlines Spreads Wings in UAE & Other Destinations

In an attempt to meet the growing demands of flyers seeking tickets for flights operating between UAE and Manila, a flag carrier of Philippines, Philippine Airlines (PAL) is expanding services to two destinations in UAE. It is a part of carrier’s expansion plan to 12 new global routes across Middle East, Australia, China and Malaysia.

The airline will add new flights to Dubai and Abu Dhabi with operations beginning from October 1 and November 1 respectively. In addition, it is also going to offer tickets for flights scheduled to commence in other Mideast regions like Doha (Qatar) November 1 and Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam (Saudi Arabia) from December 1.

Other new routes include Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) on May 2; Darwin, Brisbane and Perth (Australia) on June 1 and Guangzhou (China) on June 2.

According to airline’s President and COO, the expansion will open strategic gateways particularly in the Middle East. It will ensure greater connectivity to more destinations in the region through its interline partners, offering vast choices and direct connections to international tourists and business travellers seeking tickets for UAE bound services.

In addition, they can also take advantage of carrier’s seamless connections across Malaysia, Australia and China. On the other hand, budget conscious travellers may hope for cheap deals on tickets aboard flights.

Philippine Airlines to resume flights to India

Philippine Airlines has confirmed that it will resume flights to India after a break of 16 years.

The carrier will introduce flights six-times a week to New Delhi using Airbus A330-300 planes. It is expected that 50 per cent of the services will depart from Manila and the remaining flights will operate via Bangkok.

Leaving Manila on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday at 21:10, the flight will arrive at Indira Gandhi International Airport at 01:10.

It is thought that Philippine Airlines made the decision to reintroduce the flights to New Delhi following relaxed visa rules by the Indian government. The new service will start operating from March 27th.
