Those taking advantage of cheap flights to Delhi may find themselves arriving in style at a brand new £2 billion terminal at the city's international airport.
Hailing the start of a "new India", prime minister Manmohan Singh said the new airport terminal shows that India is "committed to joining the ranks of modern industrialised nations".
Terminal 3 will begin to accept international passengers on July 14th and the first flight to arrive there is due to be an Air India journey from New York. Commenting on the opening of the terminal, the Guardian said that prior to its opening, the structure hosted seven days of religious ceremonies in which 300 priests were involved.
