Brits may be realising the potential pitfalls of quick no-frills breaks and could now be on the lookout for longer and more meaningful getaways, a travel expert has pondered.
Sue Ockwell, a spokesperson from the Association of Independent Tour Operators, said that nowadays people "want to make their visits count a little bit more".
For special breaks, travellers could look into taking cheap flights to India, a culturally rich country which boasts everything from temples and religious sites to bustling cities and modern high-rise living.
