Emirates is out to make all the right noises with the airline’s launch date of Seattle to Dubai flight services drawing near.
Dubai based airline has now partnered an American player, Alaska Airlines, to come up with a frequent flier program alliance that is sure to make travellers happy. Under the agreement, passengers will be able to accrue Alaska Airlines’ Mileage Plan miles when they travel to any of Emirates’ more than 100 destinations worldwide. Likewise, it will now possible for Emirates’ Skywards members to accrue miles across the Alaska Airlines flight network.
And what’s more, to promote this new frequent flier deal, the two carriers will offer double miles on each others’ flights, starting March 1 through May 31, 2012! Although neither of the airlines is known in the aviation sector for offering cheap flight tickets but now with the option of redeeming their air miles with any of the airline, frequent travellers may find it a tad bit easy to find cheap flight tickets with the carriers. Other privileges like airport lounge access are also up for grabs.
As mentioned earlier, this specific business partnership might well be a move to make a buzz around the airline scheduled launch of flights to Dubai from Seattle. With these new flights to Dubai, Emirates not only wishes to cater travellers in Dubai and Seattle but also offer a convenient stop over to those who wish to further travel to regions like Indian Subcontinent.
This new service will also make Seattle the newest gateway for Emirates in the US after New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Houston and most recently, Dallas/Fort Worth.
