Commonwealth Games 'will boost tourism to Delhi'

There will be an influx of tourists taking cheap flights to Delhi this year when the city hosts the Commonwealth Games, it has been claimed.

Caroline Eden, writing in the Times, stated that India has invested in the infrastructure in Delhi and surrounding areas, with one notable example being the Metro system. "The Metro from the airport to Connaught Place will simplify the current confusing system of pre-paid dockets and the introduction of Delhi's first fleet of radio taxis driven by women is expected to make Delhi travel safer," she said.
