Maldivian to Commence Services to Colombo

News reports reveal that authorities took the decision following representations for duty-free sale of India manufactured commodities both during arrival and departure. This was done to assure that local products are on the equal footing with the imported ones. 

The news is surely music to the ears of shopping freaks who secure tickets aboard India flights and plan to fill their bags with wonderful indigenous goods being manufactured in India. Now passengers can pick tickets on flights landing in India and opt either to spend money on tax-free imported goods or on cheap, tax-free Indian commodities.

Etihad Airways to Boost Frequency to Four Cities

In a bid to offer seamless connectivity to business travellers and leisure vacationers seeking tickets on flights operating from Abu Dhabi to various regional destinations, Etihad Airways, the national flag carrier of United Arab Emirates is boosting frequency to Cairo, Islamabad, Muscat and Amman from June 15, 2013. 


The national carrier will increase Cairo bound flights to three times day from current 18 weekly services in order to offer added tickets to travellers seeking air travel on extensive network of the airline.

In addition, Abu Dhabi-Islamabad will be enhanced from seven to nine per week, enhancing connectivity over the airline’s Abu Dhabi hub to key destinations across the Middle East and Europe. More options will also spell flexibility for flyers remaining on a constant lookout for tickets.
The airline going to enhance additional services to Muscat, taking total number of flights to 23 every week and contributing to added options for tickets on flights running from Abu Dhabi to Omani capital and other major destinations including Japan, China and South Korea. Besides, it will also provide tickets for four extra overnight operations to per week to existing double-daily services from Abu Dhabi to Amman, contributing to improved connectivity to various regions in South East Asia and Australia.

It is expected that additional services would do good to passengers seeking tickets for flights operating from Abu Dhabi and vast network of long and ultra long haul flights. On the other hand, increasing number of options on these routes may also spell cheap deals for budget-conscious flyers.
