India travel card launched

People booking flights to India will soon be able to take advantage of a bank travel card.

Axis Bank, the country's third-largest private bank, has launched the new product to make it easier for visitors to manage their finances on holiday.

The India Travel Card will initially be available at a number of the bank's branches in Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai. It will also be offered at select money changers in these cities.

Benefits of the new card include reduced dependence on carrying cash around and having to pay out exchange fees on debit or credit cards.

It also helps users avoid currency fluctuations.
