Even the scorching Indian summer has not been able to cloak the irresistible charm that this country possesses! Figures rolled out by the country’s tourism ministry indicate that this year there is a significant hike in the number of tourists who find India holiday tour an attractive alternative!

In a statement issued by the India’s tourism ministry on Tuesday, it was revealed that there has been a rise of 4.8 per cent in the number of foreign tourists taking flights to India in June this year. In June 2011, the figure was 4.12 lakh and in 2012 the figure stood at 4.32 lakh.

India remains a top notch holiday destination whose appeal is seemingly going up. With the country’s tourism ministry working hard to promote the country’s unique tourist traps, the fruits are indeed showing as more and more leisure vacationers are looking for ticket deals on cheap flights to India.

For past few years, India’s tourism ministry is indeed labouring hard. The ministry organised a series of road shows in different countries to showcase Indian charms. Then they launched a Clean India campaign in a bid to keep important tourist sites all over the nation clean and hygienic. Proper signages are being put up, toilets are being well maintained and garbage is being disposed quickly under the campaign.

No wonder, there is such a rush among foreign tourists to book airline tickets on flights bound to India.
