SpiceJet to Expand Footprint in North India

International travellers on leisurely holiday breaks to India and planning a domestic air travel within the northern region of the country will soon have more alternatives to choose from.

India’s low-cost airline, SpiceJet is all set to launch flights from Chandigarh to Delhi as well as Srinagar from July 12.

The news reports reveal that SpiceJet will ply one daily flight on Delhi-Chandigarh route. Apart from this daily service, the airline will also operate four weekly flights to Delhi from Chandigarh on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays.

SpiceJet will also serve Delhi-Chandigarh-Srinagar route by launching three weekly flights on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The service is airline’s first move to commence its network in north India.

The flight service will definitely bring high rewards for the budget travellers willing to net cheap flight deals with SpiceJet on these routes.

The daily flight to Delhi would arrive at Chandigarh Airport at 8:15 am and will depart at 8.35 am. The flight will then reach Delhi at 9.40 am.

The flight to Srinagar would arrive in Chandigarh at 9:30 am from Delhi and depart at 9:50 am. It would reach Srinagar at 10.50 am. The flight would depart from Srinagar at 11.10 am and land at Chandigarh at 12.10 pm.

Delhi-Chandigarh-Srinagar is considered a popular holiday circuit among the international holidaymakers taking tickets on flights to India. The destinations are known for their marvellous tourist traps and thus remain on the hit list of many leisurely holidaymakers taking cheap flights to India.

A Q400 NextGen turboprop aircraft, having a capacity of 78 passengers, has been positioned by SpiceJet at Delhi for the new flight service.
