Kerala Number One in Google Search Trends for 2012

Kerala has upstaged the biggest of Indian jewels to become the number one travel destination in 2012 in the Google's search trends. The most popular search engine confirmed the popularity of India’s southern province among locals and global travellers, who vie hard to get their hands around flights tickets to the country.

The state has witnessed rising popularity over the past few years and this has now culminated into the blossoming of Kerala as most sought and searched holiday destination in India over the Internet. Heaps of tourists block tickets on flights bound to India to revel in the beach and backwater splendours of the place. The province has also been in the reckoning because of its ayurvedic treatment centres that appeal highly to those who book flights tickets in hope of having a true blissful experience.

The destination has displaced the very popular Taj Mahal in the Google's search trends for 2012. Taj remains a highly potent reason for foreigners to look for cheap options on flights tickets for arriving in India. Wagah Border, Vaishno Devi, Amarnath, Kashmir and Gateway of India are other top destinations and attractions of India that made it to the list. Apart from being a huge hit with locals, these attractions and tourist spots also charm foreign holiday makers, enticing them to look for tickets deals on cheap flights to the ancient country.
